- Kansas City’s Thursday injury report comes with bad news: wide receiver Xavier Worthy (shoulder – ankle) did not participate in Thursday’s practice after being a full participant on Wednesday. We have no additional information about Worthy — but we can expect that head coach Andy Reid will be asked about the wideout’s absence when he meets with the press on Friday.
- Otherwise, Thursday’s Chiefs report was just like Wednesday’s. Linebacker Jeffrey Bassa (knee), linebacker Nick Bolton (calf) and running back Kareem Hunt (calf) — in fact, every other player on the report — were full participants. This includes two players who were held out of Monday’s game in Jacksonville: cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) and defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (shoulder).
- The Lions reported some improvements from Wednesday: wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown (wrist) and Kalif Raymond (neck) were upgraded to limited participation. Both were held out of Wednesday’s practice after being injured against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
- Three starters did not participate in Thursday’s practice: left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), safety Kerby Joseph (knee) and cornerback Terrion Arnold (shoulder).
- Decker was not active in Week 5. Joseph and Arnold both started. Joseph has been nursing his injury for weeks. Arnold appears to have aggravated his shoulder during Sunday’s game.
- One other starter was a limited participant: safety Brian Branch (ankle). He was injured against the Bengals.
- Two reserve players once again did not participate on Thursday: linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring) and running back Sione Vaki (groin). Both have missed the last two games.
- Two other reserve players were added to Thursday’s report. Offensive lineman Giovanni Manu (knee) and defensive back Avonte Maddox (hamstring) were both limited.
- The team activated practice squad tackle Dan Skipper to the roster on Wednesday. If Decker can’t go on Sunday, either he or Manu could start in his place — assuming Manu is healthy enough to play.
