The Game

In the NFL’s Week 5, the (2-2) Kansas City Chiefs will make their way to Florida’s west coast, where they will face the (3-1) Jacksonville Jaguars on “Monday Night Football.” Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Arrowhead Time on ESPN and ABC — locally on KMBC/9.

While the Chiefs began their season with consecutive losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles, they are now seeking their third straight win after claiming a 22-9 victory over the New York Giants and a 37-20 beatdown of the Baltimore Ravens. Through the last six quarters, Kansas City has outscored its opponents 50-23.

But will the Chiefs be able to stay hot against the Jaguars? The men from Duval County are also looking for their third straight win after defeating the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers in the last two weeks. Jacksonville’s only loss came in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

We’ve been tracking the possibility of rain during this matchup. Monday morning’s forecast calls for precipitation to end around midafternoon. While skies will be mostly cloudy at kickoff, the chance for rain is now expected to be below 20%.
