Gracie Hunt recently showcased a pair of jeans in an Instagram post and couldn’t resist bringing up the latest controversy surrounding Sydney Sweeney.
Hunt might not be walking red carpets in Hollywood, but she knows how to stir up conversation.
The Kansas City Chiefs heiress, fitness enthusiast, and social media influencer dropped a carousel of photos on Instagram this week. Her followers likely did a double-take at the caption that came with it. Wearing a sleek black top, high-waisted blue jeans, and platform heels, Hunt struck a confident pose and added a pointed message beneath the post:
“Denim days & dreamy nights I like the view and my jeans (not American Eagle-but they are American),” she wrote for her caption.
Fans and fashion followers were quick to clock it as a not-so-subtle mention of actress Sweeney, who has been going through a backlash of controversy over her American Eagle ad.
In one widely circulated commercial, the Euphoria star ends with the phrase, “My jeans are blue. Sydney Sweeney has good genes.”
She has taken a major hit from many who have accused American Eagle of playing to a white supremacist notion that the human race could be improved by breeding out less desirable traits.
Sweeney has remained silent throughout all of this drama.
Sydney Sweeney refuses to bend to the masses.
She has been called out, heckled, and disrespected over her American Eagles ad campaign.
Despite nasty things being thrown her way, she continues to stay busy, and most of all, she is not apologizing or speaking out at all.
