Gracie Hunt just made her relationship status loud and clear. The 26-year-old daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has confirmed her romance with Derek Green, the youngest son of former Chiefs quarterback and Super Bowl champion Trent Green.
After weeks of quiet hints and soft teases, Hunt officially “hard launched” their relationship with a carousel of vacation photos on Instagram, showing the couple soaking in time together poolside and sharing sweet moments, including a juice shot.
“My heart is full,” Hunt captioned the post. “Grateful for some much-needed time to rest, reflect, and reset after a whirlwind few months post-football season. So thankful for time with the people who keep me grounded, remind me I’m loved, and never fail to make me laugh.”
Though she left fans guessing for weeks, Hunt finally confirmed speculation after posting a series of romantic snapshots from a recent trip. According to The New York Post, her new boyfriend is none other than Derek Green, who played quarterback at SMU from 2018 to 2021 before transferring to Long Island University in 2022. Like Gracie and her father, Clark, Green also attended SMU, deepening the Kansas City-SMU connection.
Hunt hinted at the romance earlier this spring, posting an Instagram Story of herself embracing a man at Arrowhead Stadium, writing, “After meeting 7.5 years ago in this place… all along there was some invisible string.” That cryptic message turned into confirmation when the two appeared together at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in late April. While she didn’t tag Green in the post, the photos left little doubt.
Green, who now works as a sports operations manager in Kansas City, is the son of Trent Green, the former Chiefs quarterback who played six seasons with the team and threw for over 21,000 yards. His father also earned a Super Bowl ring with the then- St. Louis Rams in 2000, though he didn’t play in the game due to injury.
Gracie previously dated real estate broker Cody Keith, a longtime friend of Patrick Mahomes. The two quietly parted ways earlier this year. When she celebrated her birthday in March, Keith was notably absent, and fans noticed. Now, with Derek Green in the picture, Hunt seems to be moving forward with clarity and confidence.
From football legacies to a fresh chapter in love, it’s safe to say this Kansas City connection runs deep.
