The Game

For the NFL’s Week 2, the Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is set for Sunday at 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead Time. The game will be carried on all FOX stations nationwide — locally on WDAF/4.

The two teams last met in Super Bowl LIX last February, when the Eagles humiliated the Chiefs 40-22. Two years before, Kansas City beat Philadelphia 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. The teams have split the two regular-season matchups featuring Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts as the starting quarterbacks.

In Week 1, the Chiefs collected a 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil. The night before, the Eagles had opened the NFL season with a 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

While the Chiefs lost 2023’s opening game — before finishing 11-6 on the way to their second straight Super Bowl victory — they haven’t started a season 0-2 since 2014, which was the last year the team missed the playoffs.
