Chiefs-Commanders: How to watch Week 8 matchup

The Game

The NFL’s Week 8 will finish with the (4-3) Kansas City Chiefs hosting the (3-4) Washington Commanders for “Monday Night Football.” Kickoff on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Arrowhead Time; the television broadcast will be on ESPN and ABC — locally on KMBC/9.

Kansas City is aiming for a third consecutive victory amid the rally from a 2-3 record. Both sides of the ball have momentum from dominating the Las Vegas Raiders to a 31-0 final in Week 7. The Chiefs will also have the Arrowhead crowd behind them for the third straight week.

Kansas City’s victory was aided by the Raiders’ lengthy injury report — and unfortunately for Washington fans, injuries are an issue for their team in this matchup. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is out for the game after injuring his hamstring in the team’s 44-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota is set to replace Daniels.

In the Halloween spirit, Kansas City is expecting dreary, spooky weather on Monday. Temperatures should feel as low as 50 degrees at night. There is a possibility of rain throughout the day, with that chance increasing to a likelihood by kickoff.
