Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. In the NFL’s Week 9, Kansas City travels to Highmark Stadium to face the Buffalo Bills at 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead Time on Sunday.
Here is the Chiefs’ second official injury report of the week:

Some notes
- For the Chiefs, left tackle Josh Simmons (personal) missed three games and eight straight practices. A fourth missed game is clearly visible on the horizon.
- Running back Isiah Pacheco (knee) did not participate for a second straight day with an MCL sprain sustained on Sunday.
- Right guard Trey Smith (back) was again a limited participant. It’s a good sign that he didn’t take a step backward after missing all of last week’s practices.
- Wide receiver Hollywood Brown — out sick on Wednesday — was a full participant on Thursday.
- For the Bills, rotational defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf) did not participate again, while placekicker Matt Prater (right calf) was limited for another day.
- Rotational linebacker Shaq Thompson (hamstring) was downgraded to did not participate after being limited on Wednesday.
- But rotational wide receiver Josh Palmer (knee – ankle) took a step forward. He was upgraded to limited participation after being held out on Wednesday.
- Starting defensive end Joey Bosa and backup defensive tackle Jordan Phillips — along with reserve running back (and special teamer) Ray Davis (illness) — were all back to full participation.
- Starting linebackers Terrel Bernard (ankle) and Matt Milano (pectoral) were full participants again. The team expects to have both of them back for Sunday’s game.
