Are you seeing improvement in your Chicago Bears?
Is it enough to give you confidence in the franchise moving forward?
Caleb Wiliams just put up one of the better, if not the best, games of his young career. Head coach Ben Johnson just notched his first win. Both Caleb and Rome Odunze are among the league leaders at their respective positions. Even the much-maligned defense came through to hold the Dallas Cowboys to 14 points, while taking the ball away four times and picking up two sacks.
The drop in competition to the Dallas Cowboys, from Minnesota and Detroit in weeks one and two, certainly helped, but you can only play the teams on the schedule.
And be honest, when the Cowboys climbed back and tied the game at 14 in the first half, part of you thought, ‘Same old Bears. Here we go again.’
But not this time!
This time, they settled down, bounced back, and handled their business against a team they needed to beat. That’s the first step into no longer being considered a bad football team.
