Windy City Gridiron
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bears fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Chicago Bears are sitting at (5-3) after that incredible win in Cincinnati that featured a bunch of momentum swings that would have broken previous Chicago teams. An iffy penalty that negated an interception, a fingertip that negated a pick 6, a Bengals onside kick that actually worked, Joe Flacco’s career day, just to name a few, and yet Ben Johnson’s squad brushed it all off, kept plugging away, and won in improbable fashion.
Johnson said during his postgame locker room speech that if the game is close, they’ll find a way to win.
Which is not what the book on this franchise has been for years. In fact, it’s been the opposite. If it was a close game the Bears would find a way to lose.
In other relevant Bears news, earlier today, general manager Ryan Poles only made a minor move when he traded a sixth-rounder to the Jets for a seventh and defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka.
Considering where the Bears are right now, vote in this week’s survey for your confidence in the franchise’s direction. Are things heading in the right direction, or is this whole thing off track for the future?
