With last week’s Chicago Bears head coach tracker at nearly 50 updates, I wanted to launch a fresh tracker as the Bears enter week two of their interview process. If you want to run through the timeline of last week’s rumors and reports, you can scroll through that tracker here.
The Bears have several interviews still to come, but here are their confirmed and completed interviews from the first week: Mike Vrabel (hired in N.E.), Anthony Weaver, Drew Petzing, Mike Kafka, Pete Carroll, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, and Ron Rivera (in person).
The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs also reported that he believes the Bears have spoken with Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell.
Chicago assistant GM Ian Cunningham has interviewed with the Titans for their vacant general manager position.

- It was announced that Ben Johnson had hired a new agent. However, this isn’t something that just happened, it has been in place for a while now. (link)
- The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero just mentioned Ben Johnson and Mike McCarthy as top targets for the Bears and that there’s still interest in Marcus Freeman. (link)
- The Titans have hired Mike Borgonzi as general manager, so Ian Cunninghan will remain in Chicago.

The Bears announced that their interview with Mike McCarthy has been completed. Marc Silverman said on ESPN 1000 that McCarthy requested this interview be done in person.
