Charlie McAvoy and David Pastrnak will attempt to lead the Boston Bruins to their eighth-straight win when the team takes the ice against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night. However, they aren’t the only team looking to win their eighth-straight game in the New England region.
In the NFL, the New England Patriots, who are also riding a seven-game win streak, will square off against the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. If all goes according to plan, both of these teams will keep their win streaks alive on Thursday.
Adding to the excitement for the Pats game is that the team will be debuting its new “Rivalries” uniforms. With the Bruins also playing on Thursday night, New England decided to hook up McAvoy and Pastrnak with their own custom Patriots “Rivalries” jerseys, which they were both wearing before their matchup with the Sens.
New England’s new Nor’Easter uniforms feature a darker storm blue look that has provided a different look to the team’s typical navy-blue home jerseys. While the reception has been a bit mixed on these uniforms, it’s tough to truly judge them before you see what they look like on the field.
McAvoy and Pastrnak seem to be fans of the new uniforms, and it’s always great to see local teams supporting each other. Both the Bruins and Pats have been on a roll as of late, and fans of both teams are going to have a tough time picking which game to watch on Thursday.
The B’s will be in action first, as puck drop for their contest with the Senators is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The Patriots, meanwhile, will kick off against the Jets a little bit later at 8:15 p.m. ET.
