Cooper Beebe wants respect put back on his name after what the Chargers did to him.
The Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman came after Los Angeles over a clip posted to the team’s X account. Cowboys and Chargers faced each other on Sunday in a Week 16 matchup. It turned into a blowout for the road team.
Beebe, who plays center, was getting ready to snap the ball during the game. Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley thought he heard something strange come from his mouth. Henley was wearing a microphone and accused Beebe of calling him a “bad word” before the play.
The Cowboys’ offensive lineman was flagged for a false start mere seconds later. Henley loved that and told him it was “instant karma.”
It’s unclear exactly what Cooper Beebe said because the Chargers bleeped out the word. That particular beep made it seem like he may have said a racial slur.
Hearing the n-word in the NFL isn’t exactly shocking. With so many Black players, the word gets tossed around like crazy. Not everybody is allowed to say it.
DK Metcalf is currently embroiled in a major controversy over it. He accused a Lions fan of saying it to him before he assaulted him. Even Tom Brady was accused of saying during a broadcast last month.
Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Cooper Beebe is coming after the Chargers. The team posted a clip that made it appear as if he said something racist on the field.
However, the offensive lineman offered his own explanation. He said that he was just calling out a play, and the clip was misleading.
“Literally said Hole R? That’s our call vs Abby front,” he wrote. “Imagine bleeping out what I said to make me seem racist. You guys are POS @chargers.”
The Los Angeles Chargers shared a mic’d-up video trying to paint Dallas Cowboys center Cooper Beebe as a racist…
The @chargers need to apologize & the social media team needs to be reprimanded.
This is defamation. pic.twitter.com/KrGGXq73MU

The Chargers would delete the clip altogether after being called out.
