The Slayer is back where he belongs.

On Tuesday evening, the Chargers announced that longtime wideout Keenan Allen is re-signing with the franchise that drafted him on a one-year, $8.62 million deal.

Allen spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Chargers after being drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Entering the 2025 season, Allen currently sits second in franchise history with 904 receptions and third in receiving yards with 10,530. He needs just 52 receptions and 1,312 receiving yards to pass Hall of Famer Antonio Gates for first in both categories.

The veteran now rejoins a Chargers receiver room that has gotten quite the facelift since he was traded to the Bears last offseason. Holdovers Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis both remain, but the team has since drafted budding star Ladd McConkey and 2025 rookies Tre’ Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith.

There were already some questions as to how the receiver room was going to shakeout this year without Allen, but now the coaching staff will have even more decisions on their hands as they add a franchise legend back into the fold.

Regardless, it feels so good knowing that Allen is back in the powder blue.

Welcome back, Keenan!
