Bolts From The Blue
The Chargers are under the lights to face the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are feeling what may be a must-win situation tonight as either franchise is looking to avoid a multi-game slide.
Los Angeles is 4-3 after a shellacking by the Colts this past Sunday. Luckily for them, help is on the way in the form of offensive tackles Joe Alt and Trey Pipkins. Gone, for now, are the days of Austin Deculus and Bobby Hart protecting Justin Herbert in the pocket. It’s time for this offense to look like a real unit again.
Defensively, the Chargers should get much more than 12 snaps out of Khalil Mack tonight. That’s huge for a group that’s struggled to stop the run over the last month. Can they find their identity once again? Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter told reporters this week that’s the goal heading into their short prep window for Minnesota.
