On Tuesday afternoon, he Chargers announced a trio of roster transactions.

First, the team is placing defensive tackle Otito Ogbonnia on IR with an elbow injury he sustained this past Sunday against the Colts. In a corresponding move to fill his spot on the active roster, the team is signing long snapper Rick Lovato.

In their third move of the day, the Chargers are signing running back Trayveon Williams to the practice squad with Hassan Haskins nursing an injury that would have kept him out of practice if one had taken place on Monday.

The 28-year old Williams is a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals in 2019 out of Texas A&M. In six professional seasons, he has 307 career rushing yards and 74 receiving yards. Most recently, Williams has spent stints on both the Patriots and Browns practice squads this season.

If Haskins is not able to go on Thursday night, the Chargers will be down to Kimani Vidal — the only other back on the active roster — along with Jaret Patterson, Amar Johnson, and the aforementioned Williams.
