The Chargers are moving on from a former-first round pick in wide receiver Jalen Reagor who was released Wednesday with an injury settlement, per The Athletic’s Daniel Popper.
Reagor was the 21st pick in the 2020 draft. He was selected one spot ahead of Justin Jefferson who went to the Vikings at No. 22. Reagor lasted just two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles before being waived. He also spent time with the Patriots and Vikings before landing with the Chargers in 2024.
With a depleted and shallow receiver room last season, Reagor found his way onto the field as both a receiver and a returner. He ended the year with seven receptions for 100 yards with no touchdowns. This season, Reagor was kept on the practice squad following final cuts but made his way to the practice squad/injured list to begin the season.
Now, it looks like the journeyman wideout will be moving on to a new team for the 2025 season.
