The Chargers are bringing back veteran linebacker Denzel Perryman on a one-year, $3.65 million deal. This season will be Perryman’s 11th season in the NFL as he continues to be the veteran presence in the Bolts’ locker room full of young players, including budding star Daiyan Henley and 2024 rookie Junior Colson.

Originally a second-round draft pick by the Chargers in 2015, Perryman played collegiately at the University of Miami. In his first six seasons with the Chargers, he played in 69 games with 51 starts. After being released by the Chargers in 2020, Perryman signed with the Raiders where he earned his first Pro Bowl nomination in 2021 after posting a career high 154 tackles. Prior to rejoining the Chargers this past season, Perryman spent the 2023 season with the Texans, starting 11 games and playing in 12 total.
