Bolts From The Blue
The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off a big win against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in overtime in Week 14 and now they are getting ready to play the team they lost to in the big game in the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chargers are a better team record-wise than the Chiefs, but FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Chargers as a 4.5-point underdog against Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the rest of Kansas City.
The Chargers are 9-4, which is three games ahead of the Denver Broncos in the AFC West. They are currently holding onto a Wild Card spot alongside the Buffalo Bills, who are also 9-4, and the Houston Texans, who are 8-5, but have won five games in a row.
The Chiefs are no longer a threat to win the AFC West and are clinging onto faint playoff hopes. They may need to win all four of their final games on the schedule in order to clinch a spot in the postseason.
If the Chargers were able to pull out a win against the Chiefs, they could possibly end their dynastic run, which has seen them go to eight consecutive AFC championship games. That’s what’s on the line in a very crucial week 15 matchup between the two division rivals.
Kickoff between the Chargers and Chiefs is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. PT from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on the Paramount Plus app.
