The Los Angeles Chargers are hoping to snap a losing streak as they take on the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

It’s never easy to win on the road, especially on the east coast in the early window on Sunday, but the Chargers are going into the game as a favorite against the Dolphins. FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Chargers as a 4.5-point favorite over the Dolphins.

The Chargers won their first three games after beating the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos in the AFC West gauntlet, but they have fallen on tough times after losing a pair of games to NFC East foes: the New York Giants on the road and the Washington Commanders at home.

The Dolphins come into the game 1-4 after falling in Week 5 to the Carolina Panthers, but they return home where they grabbed their lone victory of the season against the New York Jets.

With the Chargers coming into the game with a winning record and the Dolphins entering the matchup with just a single victory, it’s no surprise to see Los Angeles as a favorite, but the team has to find a way to get out of the slump they have been in for the past two weeks.

If the Chargers are going to win, quarterback Justin Herbert will need to step up to the plate. The team will be without rookie running back Omarion Hampton, who was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Kickoff between the Chargers and Dolphins is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on Paramount Plus.
