Chargers-Jaguars Live Game Recap: Justin Herbert, Derwin James ready to exorcise ghosts of playoffs past
Bolts From The Blue Bolts From The Blue

The Chargers (7-3) kickoff in the early window against the Jaguars (5-4) for the first time since the 2022 playoffs where they…well…we all know what happened on that fateful day.

With almost an entirely new roster since that season, the Chargers are motivated to win this game, of course, but there’s still nine players who remember what that loss felt like. Those nine will have likely told the story to their newer teammates at some point this week. Jim Harbaugh was not the head coach of the Chargers that season, but he and Herbert have likely spoken at length about what happened and how it may still be hanging over the heads of the longest-tenured Bolts.

But today is a chance to finally get out from under them. Today is a day to continue changing the direction of this franchise as they look to move five games above .500 just head of their Week 12 bye.

Herbert will be ready. Khalil Mack and Derwin James will be ready. It’s time to see if they can finally put these ghosts of the past out to pasture.
