The Los Angeles Chargers have become known for being Justin Herbert and not much else in recent years, but they are hoping to change that narrative in 2026. LA brought in Mike McDaniel, one of the best minds in all of football, as its new head coach, and thinks that it has a much better supporting cast around its star quarterback coming into next season.

In fact, head coach Jim Harbaugh is willing to take it a step further. He thinks all three of his wideouts can be stars, per Vincent Bonsignore of the New York Post.

“We have three elite receivers,” Harbaugh said at Chargers mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

Ladd McConkey is the most accomplished of that bunch after a spectacular rookie season in 2024, but he fell on some harder times last season. The former Georgia star failed to reach 1,000 yards and looked out of sorts as he and Keenan Allen struggled to establish distinct roles between them.

Now, Allen is no longer on the team, and McConkey is ready to get back to being Herbert’s top target. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury this offseason, but plans to be ready for training camp.

Quentin Johnston is another wideout that the Chargers really believe in. LA picked up his fifth-year option, showing interest in potentially keeping the former first-rounder around long-term even after a tough start to his career.

On Tuesday, Harbaugh applauded Johnston’s offseason as he continues to improve before his fourth season.

“I think he can have a career year,” Harbaugh said, per Bonsignore. “He’s been aces all offseason.”

The Chargers will also be leaning heavily on Tre’ Harris, who had a limited role last season as a rookie but showed flashes of the explosiveness that this group desperately covets.

If these wideouts do pan out and become one of the top groups in the NFL, Los Angeles has a chance to have a truly elite offense next season. Herbert is already one of the best quarterbacks in the league, so there’s no telling what he could do with better weapons around him.
