Bolts From The Blue Bolts From The Blue

It’s a larger injury report for the Chargers to kick off Week Six as 11 names grace Wednesday’s edition.

In all, seven players were sidelined entirely while four participated in a limited fashion. Your non-participants on Wednesday were wide receiver Keenan Allen (veteran’s rest day), offensive tackle Joe Alt (ankle), returner Derius Davis (knee), edge rusher Bud Dupree (hamstring), defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand (groin), offensive tackle Trey Pipkins (knee), and cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor (illness).

The four limited participants were offensive guard Mekhi Becton (hand), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (hamstring), linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle), and offensive guard Jamaree Salyer (knee).

It’s no wonder the Chargers went and traded for a new pass rusher if Dupree’s hamstring issue is something that will keep him off the field for any amount of time. Without him, they’d be down to Tuli Tuipulotu and Caleb Murphy as the starting edge players with Kyle Kennard coming off the bench.
