Los Angeles Chargers defensive back Elijah Molden is receiving attention from the medical staff after suffering a hand injury in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.

In the second quarter, Molden combined on a tackle of Dolphins tight end Darren Waller with linebacker Daiyan Henley, resulting in him exiting the game.

The Chargers hope Molden can return to the game because he is one of the key members of the secondary. Molden was dealing with a hamstring injury that held him out for Weeks 2 and 3, but he returned and has played in the last two games for the Chargers.

Moldenโ€™s exit against the Dolphins will thrust RJ Mickens higher in the depth chart, while players like Tony Jefferson, Tarheeb Still, Cam Hart and Derwin James Jr. will be asked to contribute a little more.

The Chargers are trailing 10-9 against the Dolphins midway through the second quarter in Miami.
