Chargers complete OC interview with pass game coordinator Marcus Brady

On Thursday morning, the Chargers announced that they had completed an interview with passing game coordinator Marcus Brady for their vacant offensive coordinator position. Brady joined the Chargers in 2024 as part of Jim Harbaugh’s initial staff and has held the same position his entire tenure.

Brady was hired alongside former offensive coordinator Greg Roman to help develop a plan for the passing attack due to Roman mainly having his success as a run game aficionado. However, the passing attack under Roman was a total mess by end his time in LA and it never quite found a way to adapt to the injuries that kept them from trotting out a serviceable offensive line. Still, that was not an excuse to flat out fail at developing some easy buttons for Herbert in the pocket.

Now this is not a surprising interview because Brady is a familiar face and teams always tend to interview in-house to minimize overall change, but I’m highly doubt he gets much real consideration. He was still a part of the duo that led the offense and I don’t think fans will want recycle any name associated with what was put out there this season. And that goes double for the playoff stinker.
