Chargers-Commanders Live Game Recap: Justin Herbert, Bolts look to get back into win column vs. Washington
Bolts From The Blue Bolts From The Blue

The Chargers (3-1) are set to take on the Commanders (2-2) at SoFi Stadium today with the hope of rebounding from a frustrating and avoidable loss to the New York Giants on the road in Week Four.

Justin Herbert will once again be under the microscope this week as he attempt to navigate the game behind an offensive line missing their best two players in Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt. Right guard Mekhi Becton is back and active from his concussion that kept him out a week ago, but that likely isn’t enough to feel super confident in this matchup. Herbert will do his best, but it’ll be up to the guys in front of him to find it within themselves to protect the team’s most important player.

Speaking of quarterbacks, Washinginton is getting back their starter in Jayden Daniels who missed the previous two games with a knee injury. He’ll wear a brace today, but I don’t expect it to hamper his running ability all that much. The Commanders will need it against one of the league’s best defenses.

Can the defense continue their strong start to the season? Will Justin Herbert be able to overcome the protection in front of him?

Strap in. It’s going to be a good one!
