The Chargers are heading to Kansas City this week to face the Chiefs for the second time this year as they look to sweep their divisional rival for the first time in well over a decade.
Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs elite haven’t been their usual clutch selves this year as they’re staring at a 6-7 record next to a low chance to make this year’s postseason. At some point this Chiefs reign of terror was going to come to an end — or at least suffer a blip in their success — but I did not expect them to come off a Super Bowl appearance and turn in a season like this.
Justin Herbert and the Chargers will have all the motivation in the world after beating the Eagles this past Monday night as that showed them they have the capability of coming together and outlasting a very good football team.
