The Chargers will get back some reinforcements prior to Saturday’s wild card matchup in Houston.
On Friday afternoon, the Chargers announced a handful of roster transactions ahead of their wild card matchup with the Texans.
First up, the Bolts are activating both cornerback Eli Apple and wide receiver Simi Fehoko off of injured reserve. They will take the roster spot off offensive guard Jordan McFadden, who was waived on Thursday, and cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor who is also being placed on injured reserve, ending his 2024 season.
Lastly, the Chargers are elevating safety Eddie Jackson and running back Jaret Patterson from the practice squad. Jackson has been elevated for the previous two games while Patterson has been elevated once before in 2024.
With the decisions to elevate Jackson and Patterson, it does not look like Chargers fans will get the opportunity to see Zeke Elliott suit up this week after he was signed to the practice squad. Elliott was released by the Cowboys in order to land with a playoff team, but there’s now a chance he does not see the field in January unless Bolts come away victorious in Houston.
