George Pickens seems to be fitting right in with the Cowboys.

Fans of the Dallas Cowboys have accepted that the organization is frugal when it comes to building the roster in the offseason. This year, they had a very successful draft. However, they married that by trading for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens, giving All-Pro CeeDee Lamb a dynamic partner on the opposite side.

There's no question that Lamb has established himself as one of the best receivers in the league and a true No. 1 option. Pickens has produced on a high level himself, and he's done so with pedestrian quarterback play at times. When Lamb and Pickens were both at Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kyler Murray's Charity Softball event last weekend, the former told DLLS something that opposing defenses need to think about and gave the latter a huge compliment in the process.

We both No. 1’s. It ain’t no A, B, none of that. It’s 1. You look over there, you see 1. You look over here, you see another 1. So, do what you gotta do with that.

Cowboys' head coach Brian Schottenheimer agreed with Lamb on the dynamic of the duo when speaking to the media on Tuesday.

I think Ceedee said it best, we don’t do A’s and B’s, or 1’s and 2’s.

When the Cowboys got Pickens, it was received with a lot of praise because it gave the offense a much-needed second option on the outside with Lamb. There was an elephant in the room, though. During his time in Pittsburgh, while always productive on the field, Pickens didn't always display the maturity he needed to in certain situations. It's something that he said he's working on daily.

“I can’t change anyone’s opinion. Me, personally, I just continue to grow,” Pickens told reporters. “Everyone in the world has to grow as you get older and older. I’m just trying to build a winning culture, which they already have at the Cowboys. I’m just glad to be joining.”

It's only been a couple of weeks since Pickens got traded to Dallas. However, when talking about Pickens, Schottenheimer had plenty of positive things to say about what he’s brought to the table so far.

My time with him has just been incredible. I think we’re really excited about what he brings as a football player, but I see a guy that’s maturing. I see a guy that we’re excited to put out there and watch him grow and get better... I love watching him in meetings, because in meetings he’s been so dialed in, taking great notes... his intentionality in the meeting room has been really cool for me to see.

The addition of Pickens certainly does give Dallas a different dynamic to their passing game. His ability to stretch the field vertically and haul in contested passes due to an enormous catch radius will make it difficult to double-team him and Lamb simultaneously. That means more one-on-one opportunities for...
