Prayers up for Jaycee Horn.

The Carolina Panthers’ cornerback was involved in a car accident this morning outside of Bank of America Stadium. No one involved was transported for medical attention.

According to a team spokesman, Horn was alone in his car when the incident occurred at the corner of Mint and Morehead Streets.

Team medical personnel evaluated him and determined that taking the day off was the best course of action.

There will be no practice for JayCee Horn as a result of the accident.

There’s no word on when he might be back on the field.

The Panthers have their preseason opener on Friday, so Horn may get a few days of rest before any determination is made about a return to action.

Carolina Panthers Rewarded Jaycee Horn With A New Deal

Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn will not participate in Wednesday’s practice after being involved in a car accident earlier in the day.

This is not the best news after the team signed him during the offseason.

The 25-year-old was the Panthers’ No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.

He just finished the final year of a four-year rookie deal and was set to play on the fifth-year option until the team inked him to a four-year, $100 million extension.

During the 2024 season, Horn appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 68 total tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and 13 pass deflections.
