The 2025 NFL regular season schedule is now official. The Carolina Panthers are opening their season with an auspicious start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road. We’ll get deeper into the weeds of the schedule over the coming days, but there are a few things that jump out at us right away. First and foremost, this will be the third season that the Panthers have opened their regular season against Jacksonville. The other two seasons were 2003 and 2015. This is likely little more than a funny historical quirk, but you better believe we are going to ride the superstition behind this situation into the ground.

The real challenges of this schedule are two-fold:

First, they start with three out of their first four games on the road. That’s going to be an interesting set of circumstances for a team that is young and trying to get their feet under them. Primarily, that’s a coaching challenge for second year head coach Dave Canales.

Second, five of their six divisional games are between Weeks 10 and 18. The Panthers are likely to be deep in the hunt for the NFC South crown through the end of the season.
