Revenge of the Birds
The Arizona Cardinals are boring. There’s really not much more to say about it.
They play a safe, boring brand of football.
First down? Run into a seven man box.
Third and ten on defense? Rush four and play cover four.
There’s nothing exciting or aggressive about this team.
They take what is there and try not to get beat over the top, making teams work for their yards and points too, but in a much less aggressive way.
So, they trail at the half 6-3 in what had been one of the most boring first half’s of the season.
Kyler Murray has 104 of the total yards of offense in the first half, the running backs have a combined 18 yards rushing on 11 attempts.
They’ve contained Christian McCaffrey but it doesn’t matter when you cannot do a single thing on offense.
Maybe they need to look at being a touch more aggressive early?
Who knows at this point.
