Revenge of the Birds
After two quarters the Arizona Cardinals have a lead.
Maybe the bye week is what will make the difference.
The Cardinals have had some help, three drops by the Dallas Cowboys and a fumble by Jake Ferguson, put the Cardinals in position to get some stops.
In fact, the Cowboys first points came on a miscue by the Cardinals special teams, as they blocked the punt after the Cardinals recovered the fumble by Ferguson.
The response was perfect. You saw maybe the best drive of the season called by Drew Petzing, and the Cardinals were able to take advantage of the worst two minute defense in the NFL.
The Cowboys have allowed an astounding 57 points with under two minutes to go. Now, make that 64.
Through the first half, we are seeing what could be with Marvin Harrison Jr., getting him the ball unrelentingly and trusting him to make plays.
Clean up the pass protection and things could be better, but a 17-7 lead at the half is not bad.
