Revenge of the Birds
Talk about the first half of the Arizona Cardinals game against the San Francisco 49ers.
It is the season finale for both the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.
When things kicked off 18 weeks ago, the hope was that this game would matter for both teams.
The Arizona Cardinals would need a win to lock-up a playoff spot, while the Niners would need to play their guys to jockey for that top spot in the NFC.
Neither of those things happened, the Niners are going to finish in last place in the NFC West and the Arizona Cardinals blew their chance three weeks ago.
So, now how do things go today?
How much of it matters to things heading out of this season?
I’ll say this, 2-5 as opposed to 1-6 to finish the season matters.
Going 2-0 against the Niners matters.
I don’t think anything happens, but going 1-6 after 6-4 should prompt changes, and again I don’t think it will, but it is nuts to think they’ll just roll it back.
So, for our sanity, let’s get that win.
