Here are some bold predictions from the CSC staff for the 3rd and final week of the preseason.
In Week 2 of the preseason, we saw the New Orleans Saints fall to the San Francisco 49ers 16-10. After spending the last month on the West Coast for training camp, the Saints are finally back home and will face the Tennessee Titans in their 3rd and final preseason game.
So, let’s take a look at some of the Canal Street Chronicles staff’s predictions for this week’s matchup between the Saints and Titans on Sunday afternoon in the Caesars Superdome.
TINA:
- Both backup QBs have bounce back performances, each throwing for a TD.
- Rookie kicker Charlie Smyth kicks a field goal from over 60 yards.
- Rico Payton secures his spot on the roster, getting his first pick.
LUKE H:
- Rico Payton continues his preseason dominance, gets his first INT.
- Spencer Rattler gets things going, throws for 100+ yards and at least one touchdown.
- Cedric Wilson leads the team in receiving yards.
MOLLY:
- Bryan Bresee secures starting DT spot
- CB Alontae Taylor will have at least one interception
- The Saints first touchdown will be on a play action pass
- Charlie Smyth wins the kicking competition
NIC:
- Rookie K Charlie Smyth nails a 50+ yard FG.
- UDFA Kyle Hergel earns the starting LG job amidst his recent emergence.
- RB Jordan Mims rushes for 50+ yards and a TD, surpassing Kendre Miller for a roster spot.
CALEB:
- Trevor Penning secures the starting right tackle job with a great performance
- Kendre Miller plays
- Rico Payton has a pick-six.
MATT:
- Rico Payton continues to shine
- Jacob Kibodi impresses in the running game
- Spencer Rattler plays most of the game
SHAWN:
- Isaiah Foskey gets a sack
- If Juwan Johnson plays, he catches a touchdown
- A.T. Perry has 100 yards receiving and a touchdown
HAYDEN:
- Spencer Rattler throws 2 TDs
- Defense gets 2 INTs
- Saints return a punt for a TD
