It’s finally here, Week 1 of the 2025 preseason. We have gone a long 7 months without New Orleans Saints football but that all changes on Sunday afternoon when they face the Los Angeles Chargers in SoFi Stadium.

So, let’s take a look at some of the Canal Street Chronicles staff’s predictions for this week’s matchup between the Saints and Chargers.

TINA:

  • All 3 quarterbacks get playing time
  • Kendre Miller scores the first touchdown
  • Saints defense gets two turnovers

NIC:

  • Spencer Rattler starts and operates the offense with ease—leading the opening drive for a TD
  • Quincy Riley starts with the 1s and does what we’ve seen from him all camp—picking off a pass in his first career game
  • We get a glimpse of the revamped pass rush and the Saints defense notches 4+ sacks

LUKE:

  • Jake Haener throws for the most yards of the three QBs
  • Tyler Shough breaks off a 25+ yard run
  • Bub Means leads the team in receiving with over 75 yard and a TD

KYLE:

  • Saints defense will have 5+ sacks
