Can You Play for the Cowboys, Chiefs or Bills? Survey Reveals How Dumb Some NFL Fans Are

A hilarious new survey of male NFL fans reveals that some of them actually believe they could play for teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills right now.

Professional athletics is very tough on the body. Certain sports like football, hockey, MMA, and rugby are pretty violent and put a beating on a competitor. That is why being in tip-top shape is very important to actually reach the heights of sports and survive. Along with, of course, talent that separates an athlete from normal people.

However, there is a shocking amount of regular Joes watching games each week who believe they could actually get up off their La-Z-Boy, suit up in an NFL uniform, and actually compete in an NFL game today.

In a great survey from TENA, they spoke with male sports fans over 40 years old from around the country. Many of them have played organized football at some point in their lives. And shockingly, 35% those who responded “believe they could absolutely go pro.” One can only wonder why they never did if it was such a sure thing.

Furthermore, 41% believe they can catch a fireball from an NFL QB. Hilariously, 24% believe they could break a tackle in an NFL game, 33% feel they can make a tackle, and 23% are very confident about being able to nail a field goal.

Yet, it doesn’t end there. There are some very confident 40-something football fans, specifically in California. In San Jose, 75% of washed-up football players feel they could have gone pro, and 67% are sure they can catch passes from an NFL QB.

In San Diego, 78% think they will have no problem with passes from pro quarterbacks, and 64% said they could no doubt make a tackle in the NFL.

Obviously, these men have never seen episodes of the popular 2000s show Pros vs. Joes. Where everyday one one-time athletes were absolutely embarrassed by active and retired former athletes.
