Bolts From The Blue
If it wasn’t for the leg of Cameron Dicker, the Chargers may have a few less wins under their belt this season.
Dicker was incredibly clutch this past Sunday as he helped the Bolts topple the Chiefs — completing the season sweep — by converting on all three of his field goals and an extra point. The Chargers only won by three points, so yes, Dicker was the difference.
Dicker converted a pair of 49-yard field goals and a short 23-yarder on a day where the Chargers offense wasn’t quite getting it done as much as they needed. In the cold weather which obviously tends to affect west coast teams who are traveling, Dicker’s ability to be automatic was only highlighted in a tough-fought divisional matchup.
The Chargers kicker is currently 34-of-36 on the season with a long of 59 yards entering Week 16. He’s been good on five-of-six attempts from 50+ yards and 12-of-13 from 40-49 yards.
