It has been quite some time since the AFC South has been notable, but Cam Ward and Travis Hunter are ensuring that their new teams will be must-see TV.

At the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, both players had something to say about the other one’s new team.

If the NFLPA Rookie Premiere was meant to showcase the league’s next generation of stars, Travis Hunter and Cam Ward stole the show with a viral exchange.

During a lighthearted back-and-forth at the 31st annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere, No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward and No. 2 pick Travis Hunter went toe-to-toe to take up for their squads.

I would hate to be a Jacksonville Jaguar,” Ward said.

Hunter, who just capped off an unprecedented final season at Colorado with a Heisman Trophy, did not take long to fire back.

“We didn’t want you,” Hunter fired back.

Ward, fresh off a standout year at Miami where he threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns, added, “They say they’re trying to get rid of you already.”

Travis’ response? “You know they don’t like quarterbacks that much. They only got you cause they had to.”

Travis Hunter, Cam Ward Will Be Battling For Years To Come

Tennessee Titans’ top overall pick Cam Ward and Jacksonville Jaguars’ two-way rookie Travis Hunter have already kicked off the trash talking.

All eyes will be on Ward and Hunter this season. Ward was the top overall pick and has been tasked with turning around a Tennessee franchise desperate for a franchise quarterback.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars traded the No. 5 overall pick, a second-rounder, a fourth-rounder this year, and a first-round pick next year to move up for Hunter.

The Tennessee Titans last appeared in the playoffs in the 2021 season. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ last playoff appearance was in the 2022 season.

The AFC South already has CJ Stroud, who has led the Texans to back-to-back AFC South titles.

The division is going to be on fire for years to come.
