Marshawn Lynch might be retired, but he can still go beast mode whenever he needs to.
Lynch was supposed to be watching from the stands like any other retired legend. Instead, he showed up on the sidelines with a camera in his hands, capturing the Seattle Seahawks’ preseason opener while on the field.
For a guy who spent his career avoiding cameras, it was quite the shock to see from fans.
As the Seahawks begin their 2025 preparations, Lynch has taken on a surprising new role of capturing the newest generation of players living out their dreams on the field.
He appeared as a cameraman on the sidelines during games, as shared on the Seahawks’ official X profile and by many others.

Not everything went according to plan.
During the first quarter of the Seahawks vs. Raiders preseason game on Thursday night from Lumen Field, Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch could be seen walking the sideline with a camera in hand—draped in a media vest—as running back George Holani crossed the goal line for a touchdown.
Holani nearly backed into Lynch, and he did what he had to do to protect his camera. As Holani fell toward him, the 39-year-old stuck out his elbow and hit the running back from behind.
And then, after Seahawks RB George Holani ran for a touchdown, the same sideline photographer pushed him: https://t.co/hm7fsUUKLO pic.twitter.com/dnXBc2J8mQ

Marshawn Lynch now joins former Seattle Mariners greats Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr., who have entered into photography careers.
Before he made it here, he was dominant on the field.
Lynch scored 58 rushing touchdowns during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. He is second in franchise history for rushing touchdowns, only behind Shaun Alexander.
The 38-year-old appeared in 83 games for the Seahawks, rushing for 6,381 yards and 58 touchdowns.
