The Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in a bit of a tough spot. Their Thursday Night Football game was supposed to be a relatively easy contest against the struggling Cincinnati Bengals. However, after the first half, it’s the Bengals who find themselves on top against the Steelers.
Why are the Steelers down against the Bengals? Well, costly mistakes have cost Pittsburgh multiple chances to go up against their division rivals. One such play happened in the first quarter. The Steelers seemed to try and pull some trickery on their opponents, running a flea-flicker to presumably confuse the defense and get a deep shot.
Instead, well, the play went nowhere. Why did it not work? Well, because the Steelers weren’t supposed to run a flea flicker in the fist place. The broadcast feed caught quarterback Aaron Rodgers telling off running back Jaylen Warren, seemingly saying that he wasn’t supposed to pass it back to him.

At the time of writing, the Steelers are down 20-17 in the waning moments of the third quarter. While it’s a close game, early redictions for this game pegged tthe Black and Gold brigade to easily handle the Bengals. It’s easy to see why: the Bengals are 2-4 this season, playing without their star quarterback, and have just traded for a new quarterback. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is on top of the AFC North and have the offense to manipulate the struggling Bengals defense.
Unfotunately, the first half of the game saw the Steelers uncharacteristically struggle against the Bengals. It doesn’t help that Rodgers threw two interceptions in the game. The Steelers are looking to finish this game strong and continue their great season.
