Warren Moon gives Cam Ward permission to wear his retired number.
Warren Moon surprised Cam Ward at his introductory press conference today and presented him with a #1 jersey for the Tennessee Titans. The significance of that is that Moon wore the #1 for the Houston Oilers and was retired by the Titans organization. There had been a lot of discussion over whether or not Moon would allow Ward to wear the jersey. Ward said he called Moon a few weeks ago about the number. It was fun to see those two guys interact and to hear of the admiration that Ward has for Moon.
It’s a new era of Titans football. Brian Callahan now has his hand-picked quarterback. We have heard so much about his work with quarterbacks and how good of an offensive mind he is. That didn’t show on the field last year - probably due to the lack of talent on the offensive line and at the quarterback position. Those excuses are gone now. Time to prove it on the field!
