Shilo Sanders has responded to Antonio Brown posting videos showing him cooking the rookie defensive back on routes with a video of his own.
AB attacked the Sanders family after the NFL Draft, throwing several insults their way while exposing Shilo in footage showing the new Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety trying, and failing badly, to cover him.
Of course, Antonio Brown is one of the best wide receivers in football history, so it’s hardly a shame to have him beat you on any route. However, Shilo was equally impressive in his coverage on other plays, though AB kept that part of the workout to himself.
The former Colorado player contacted Cam Newton, sending the former NFL quarterback a video showing that his coverage was more effective than AB’s footage suggested.
“You mean to tell me out of a whole route session that we only see two clips?” Newton asked before showing the video on his ‘4th&1’ podcast.
Check it out below:
“These clips show a young Shilo, maybe still in high school, going up against AB at the top of his career,” Newton added. “That’s not a fair matchup. And let’s be real – AB was arguably the best wideout in the league at the time.”
Cam Newton has given AB 24 hours to reply to the footage, and we suspect he will…
The former MVP also took responsibility for potentially impacting Shilo Sanders’ career by covering AB’s video on his show.
“In defense of Shilo, he is in the process of trying to make a team,” Newton confessed. “Us covering that wasn’t ideal in his situation. And I take that.”
AB, whom Cam put “on the clock,” had around nine hours remaining at the time of writing.
