Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Week 3 against the Cowboys, the team announced.

Williams finished the game completing 19 of his 28 passing attempts for a 67.8% completion percentage. He threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns with a 142.6 passer rating and no interceptions. He also ran the ball five times for 12 yards in Chicago’s 31-14 victory on Sunday.

This marks the first time Williams has won NFC Offensive Player of the Week since entering the NFL in 2024. He is the first Bears player to win the award since DJ Moore in Week 5 of 2023.

Most notably, two of Williams’ touchdown passes against the Cowboys came on the deep ball. He hit Rome Odunze wide open for a 35-yard touchdown early in the first quarter. Additionally, he wowed Bears fans with a flat-footed dot to Luther Burden on a flea flicker under pressure, taking the team 65 yards down the field and into the end zone on one play.

The No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft put together the best passer rating in an individual game of his career thus far. Heading into Week 4, he ranks sixth in the NFL in passer rating and is tied for second with seven passing touchdowns.
