Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson says starters, including quarterback Caleb Williams, will play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

While there isn’t an indication of how long they are going to play, but he emphasized that everyone who sat out last week would play this week.

Almost all starters sat last week, except left tackles Braxton Jones and Ozzy Trapillo, who are battling for the starting job. Rookies Colston Loveland and Luther Burden II also saw action, but they aren’t necessarily starters, depending on who you ask.

Expect a couple of series, but Johnson said it has to do with the workload, length between games and more. It’s the next step for Williams in calling plays in a game situation, something Johnson says the second-year QB is getting better at. It’s another test.

The Bears host the Buffalo Bills for a joint practice Friday ahead of their game Sunday at 7 p.m. CT.
