Silver And Black Pride
The Las Vegas Raiders, in general, will likely look a lot different going into 2026 then they currently stack up, one are of such is the offensive line where the Raiders are likely to make heavy attempts to overhaul what is currently the NFL’s 29th ranked unit. 2025 third round selection Caleb Rogers is looking like a potential piece to the offensive line going forward into 2026 and the rookie is earning his opportunity to start next year.
The former Texas Tech standout was selected 98th overall after a strong college career that saw him play in well over 4000 snaps allowing 28 sacks and 125 pressures though 15 sacks and 55 pressures came in 2022 when Rogers played left tackle before sliding back to guard in 2023-2024 where he allowed 7 sacks and 39 pressures across his time. Rogers would then go on to test extremely well in the pre-draft process earning a 9.58 RAS score and having elite marks in the three cone, 10 split, bench, and vertical.
Rogers struggled to make any real impact early on, not seeing the field till week 13 against the Chargers, a week after Rogers was notably set to make his debut but benched for unknown reasons. In his brief 165 NFL snaps against the Chargers, Broncos, Eagles, and Texans who all rank top 12 in pass rush metrics, the 6’5/310-pound guard has allowed just 1 sack and 6 pressures. Notably, Rogers has not been flagged and is also averaging 4.7 ypc as a lead blocker which is nearly double that of Alex Cappa. At 24 years old, it was initially difficult to see a path for Rogers though the rookie is carving his own filling in for injuries on the offensive line incredibly well. The Raiders offensive line will likely return Kolton Miller and Jackson Powers-Johnson at left tackle and center but the other three spots remain up for grabs. Rogers slots in well for Las Vegas as a potential fit at right guard going forward though his versatility and ability to play left guard is also valuable with the Raiders having Charles Grant and DJ Glaze in house to compliment the free agents and/or rookies added.
Rogers has his struggles at times, though as an athletic player he’s able to maintain a large base, utilize power, and consistently win with his athleticism as well. The Raiders will need to work on Rogers technique, hand fighting, anchor, and overall approach at guard going forward and heading int 2026 there’s a lot more to like on film then there is to draw back from for Caleb Rogers. Rogers has done well with his communication abilities, movement in space, strength at the POA, and overall IQ as well. He’ll need to improve his pad level among others, but the initial looks showcase a lot of potential heading forward.Las Vegas is desperately searching for needs on the offensive line, with heavy impact players coming in multiple phases, Las Vegas could benefit from staying in...
