Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is one of the most famous athletes in the world. She’s most often talking basketball during interviews, which made her most recent public appearance unique.

Appearing as a guest on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast, Clark revealed why she’s pulling for the New England Patriots to go all the way this year.

“I’m a Drake Maye fan, Clark said. “I think he’s been incredible, and … I mean, I’ll probably be, like, pulling for the Patriots, but, I mean, I think the Rams are really good, too.”

Clark burst into the WNBA scene as the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Fever in 2024. During her debut season, she started all 40 games, posting averages of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She earned Rookie of the Year, All-WNBA First Team selection, and a spot in the All-Star Game, while leading the league in assists and setting multiple records. In the playoffs, Clark contributed 18.0 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds across two games.

The 2025 season began promisingly for Clark, who averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds through 13 starts. She secured another All-Star nod, served as team captain, and contributed to the Fever’s Commissioner’s Cup victory. However, a right groin injury in mid-July forced her to miss the rest of the year. Off the court, Clark described designing her upcoming Nike signature shoe as the most exciting part of her professional journey so far.

Maye and the Patriots meanwhile, have one more regular season game remaining before they enter the postseason as the AFC East champs.
