Three games into the 2025 NFL season, tight end Dalton Kincaid is playing like the valuable offensive weapon the Buffalo Bills envisioned when they selected him with the 25th selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with thoughts on how Kincaid has become one of the best offensive playmakers for Josh Allen to utilize, and gives credit to the Bills’ tight ends for becoming one of the most productive units in the NFL.

Dalton Kincaid breakout and tight ends

Through three games, Dalton Kincaid ranks second on the team in catches (13), receiving yards (151), and touchdowns (two), and is tied for the league lead among tight ends when it comes to touchdowns while ranking eighth in catches and ninth in receiving yards. It’s a welcome development for Kincaid, who battled through an injury-plagued sophomore season with Buffalo, as Kincaid has emerged as a sparkplug on offense, hauling in touchdown passes on Buffalo’s opening drives against both the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins.

Kincaid, veteran Dawson Knox, and rookie Jackson Hawes have each contributed to Buffalo’s high-octane offense that has scored at least 30 points in every game this year, with Knox and Hawes combining for seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown (by Hawes vs. Miami). For what it’s worth, Hawes, a fifth-round draft pick this past April, is graded out as the league’s best tight end according to Pro Football Focus, earning an overall grade of 91.8. He’s also the platform’s top graded rookie.

Historic turnover streak

The last 25 times the Bills took the field, they haven’t lost the turnover battle, an NFL record. This year, the Bills are one of three teams to not have committed a turnover (along with the Indianapolis Colts and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers). It’s a trend that dates back to last year, when Buffalo led the league in fewest turnovers (eight). The Bills have gone eight straight games without a turnover, matching the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs for the longest streak without a turnover since 1933.
