Plus, we examine some of the pressing offseason decisions facing the Bills.
The Buffalo Bills appear to be quite close to fielding a team that can finally win that elusive Super Bowl, but the team still has some areas of need heading into the offseason.
Before the Bills make their selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, general manager Brandon Beane, head coach Sean McDermott and other team decision-makers and talent evaluators will get an up-close look at prospects gathered in Indianapolis for the NFL’s annual Scouting Combine.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with what Bills fans need to know about the combine, including which positions Buffalo’s brass could be targeting in the upcoming draft.
The NFL’s Scouting Combine begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. The combine gives general managers, coaches, scouts and player evaluators a chance to evaluate and interview the best college football players leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Bills have a need at wide receiver, edge rusher, cornerback, interior defensive line, and safety, among others, and Buffalo’s front office could use the combine to take a long look at those players who could potentially make a great addition to the roster via the draft.
The salary cap is expected to be between $277.5 million and $281.5 million, a considerable increase from the 2024 salary cap of $255.4 million. At worst, the Bills will be $10 million over the cap, and at best, they could be just $5.5 million over.
