The Buffalo Bills wide receiver room has been under siege this entire season. The Bills have been turning over the position all year and with two recent injuries, they have even more work to do. Josh Palmer went to injured reserve on Saturday and during the game on Sunday, Gabe Davis left on a cart with a knee injury.

Buffalo opened the season with Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Josh Palmer as the top receivers with Elijah Moore, Curtis Samuel, and Tyrell Shavers as the reserves. Gabe Davis joined the practice squad.

On November 25th, Brandin Cooks signed with the Bills after being waived by the New Orleans Saints. He’s been invaluable down the stretch.

After Davis exited the game on Sunday, most of those players are not on the roster anymore. Samuel and Palmer are on injured reserve. Davis looks like he is heading there. Elijah Moore was released midseason.

Only Cooks, Coleman, Shakir, and Shavers remain and Coleman was a healthy scratch multiple times in 2025.

Wide receivers the Bills can add following Gabe Davis injury

Keon Coleman is going to be back in the lineup full-time. Let us start there.

Curtis Samuel is eligible to come back from injured reserve, but we haven’t heard anything about him since he went on IR.

The Bills signed Mecole Hardman on November 12th mainly to add value in the return game but also to provide a vertical threat. He played one game, was hurt, then placed on IR. He rejoined the active roster, was waived, then signed to the practice squad. He’s an obvious add if the Bills need an in-house wideout.

In addition to Hardman, the Bills have Stephen Gosnell on the practice squad. Gosnell is an undrafted free agent signing out of Virginia Tech.

Following the Cooks signing, the Bills waived Elijah Moore. Moore signed with the Denver Broncos practice squad. The Bills could look to bring him back this week to the active roster.

Laviska Shenault and K.J. Hamler are free agents and spent the offseason in Buffalo.

Amari Cooper retired in September 2025, but they could do worser than calling him.
