The Buffalo Bills declared two starters out for this week’s game against the New Orleans Saints. They elevated just one player from the practice squad, though, so they’ll have just six inactive players to declare this weekend, That’s one less player than they’ve had to deactivate over the last two weeks.
Head coach Sean McDermott declared two starters out on Friday, and the team listed two more major contributors as questionable thanks to injuries. For the Saints, two players are out, as well, but just one player is listed as questionable.
Here is the full inactive list for both teams.

T Spencer Brown
The big fella will miss today’s game thanks to a calf injury that “popped up” in last week’s win over the Miami Dolphins. Ryan Van Demark is likely to start, with Alec Anderson playing the role of swing tackle. Sedrick Van Pran Granger is active as the interior reserve, and rookie Chase Lundt will suit up for the first time this season.
EDGE Landon Jackson
Even though A.J. Epenesa was listed as questionable thanks to a pec injury, he’s good to go, so Jackson will be a healthy scratch once again. Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, and Javon Solomon are all active to fill out the rotation at defensive end.
DT Ed Oliver
Buffalo’s top interior defensive lineman is once again out due to an ankle injury. Rather than burn Zion Logue’s final elevation from the practice squad, Buffalo went with veteran Jordan Phillips instead for this one. He’ll join T.J. Sanders, DaQuan Jones, and Deone Walker in the rotation.
LB Matt Milano
Milano is out once again, and surprisingly, the Bills didn’t activate a linebacker from the practice squad to fill his spot on the game day roster. That means the team will dress just four linebackers—Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, Shaq Thompson, and Joe Andreessen—for this one.
DB Brandon Codrington
The return specialist is a healthy scratch, so we’ll see who returns kicks. Ray Davis is likely to see that role on kickoffs, with Khalil Shakir a likely fill-in as the punt returner. Watch for Curtis Samuel, who is active for the first time, Ty Johnson, or Elijah Moore in either of these roles, as well.
CB Ja’Marcus Ingram
Buffalo’s usual CB4-slash special-teams stalwart is a healthy scratch today. That means that rookie Jordan Hancock is going to see action for the first time in his pro career.
